It is reported that in March 2012, China produced 9.74 million square meters of natural marble for building slab, an increase of 35.71%. January 2012 to March, natural marble architectural sheet output reached 21.97 million square meters, an increase of 33.55%. From the production point of view of the various provinces and cities, in January 2012 and March, natural marble building board production among the top three in Fujian Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guangdong Province, respectively, accounting for 37.68% of the total output of 18.29% and 6.33%. 
In March 2012, China produced 32.7856 million square meters of building slab of natural granite, an increase of 43.09%. From January 2012 to March, the natural granite building sheet output reached 74,602,500 square meters, an increase of 36.22%. Production from provinces in January 2012 to March, the building slab of natural granite in Fujian production reached 41,476,600 square meters, an increase of 34.93%, accounting for 55.60 percent of the country's total output. Followed by Shandong, Guangxi and Henan.
