Granite is a popular natural stone used to build countertops and sinks. It comes in a dizzying array of designer colors and adds textural interest to your kitchen or bathroom. Granite is durable, and pretty stain-resistant---but that doesn't mean your granite sink doesn't need cleaning. Using special products and simple techniques, you can care for your granite sink and keep it looking beautiful for years to come.
Instructions as follows:
Firstly, submerge a non-abrasive sponge or cloth into the basin of water and squeeze out any extra water. You want it damp, not soppingly wet.
Secondly, add a few drops of the mild soap directly onto the wet sponge/cloth and squeeze to make some lather.
Thirdly, wipe the granite sink thoroughly, concentrating on the areas around the drain and beneath the faucet where dirt can accumulate or minerals from water can crystallize.
Fourthly, rinse the soapy sponge/cloth in the basin until when squeezed, the water is clear. Wipe away any soapy residue from the granite sink. If needed, repeat this step until the sink is clean.
Fifthly, wipe the surface completely with a soft, dry cloth.
Sixthly, if the granite sink's finish appears dull, you may still have soap residue on it. Repeat Steps 4 and 5.
